Abstract

Physical Education is an integral part of education as a whole, so that physical education has a meaning that is sufficiently representative in Indonesia to develop fully human. Education is the process of internalizing culture into one's self and society that make people and societies become civilized. Education is not just a means of knowledge transfer, but also as a means of cultivation and distribution of values (enkulturisasi and socialization), including the formation of character and personality.
Physical Education is believed to provide a good opportunity for students to participate regularly in sports activities, understand and apply the correct concepts about the physical activities for to do so safely, understand and apply the values inherent in such activities in order to form attitudes and sportsmanship and positive behavior, emotional stability, and healthy lifestyle.
Physical education and sport is not just bodybuilding subjects, which can be underestimated and dismissed. However, physical education and sport is an instrument for improving the development and character formation of the nation
(nation and character building).

Abstract

Education is not only a matter of knowledge transfer, but also a means of cultivation and distribution of values, including the formation of character and personality. In physical education and sport, students participate regularly in different sports activities, understand and apply the correct concepts of physical activities for safety. They understand and apply the values of different sport activities in order to build personal attitude and sportsmanship, positive behavior as well as emotional stability.
Physical education and sport is not limited to body building subjects. It is an instrument for improving the development and character formation of the nation.

Abstract

Character is the combination of qualities and personality that makes one person or thing different from others. The concepts of good character by right conduct and right conduct in relation to other person and relation in one self. Sport and physical education once process of educational man in his self or part of society that voluntary act and systematic throughout many physical activity to get the physical growth, health, physical fitness and mental ability. Sport and physical education must be to develop by pedagogy system and practical system, both of them have stages, normally; cognitive or basically, intermediate and advance or high class. The character building must be built for long time and better to begin since children. Psychology of sport, philosophy of sport that the ell factors to support in character building. The rule in sport make be good character athlete, because someone have to allow all of the game rule, and develop to ones, responsibility etc.

Abstrak
Karakter merupakan perpaduan dari segala tabiat manusia yang bersifat permanen yang merupakan ciri khusus untuk membedakan orang yang satu dengan yang lainnya. Membentuk karakater anak yang baik bukanlah hal yang mudah dilakukan, karena harus melibatkan sinkronisasi seluruh aspek lingkungan pendidikan anak baik di sekolah, keluarga, maupun lingkungan masyarakat. Bentuk pendekatan pembelajaran bermain yang dapat digunakan untuk membentuk karakter anak diantaranya adalah pendekatan pembelajaran bermain individual games dan groups game. Bermain merupakan wahana yang baik bagi anak untuk menyalurkan ketegangan yang disebabkan lingkungan terhadap aktivitas anak. Melalui bermain anak terbiasa dengan aturan-aturan yang lebih disepakati dalam bermain, seperti larangan-larangan yang harus ditaati, disiplin sportivitas, kerjasama, menghargai teman lain, jujur dan lain-lain, secara tidak langsung kondisi tersebut membentuk kepribadian anak. Penampilan seorang anak dipengaruhi oleh faktor umur. Faktor umur memiliki tingkat perkembangan yang berbeda secara kapasitas. Setiap kelompok umur berbeda kapasitas fisik, mental dan sosial yang disebabkan faktor individu dan lingkungan. Perbedaan ini memiliki implikasi terhadap proses pembelajaran.
